Растратить здоровье очень просто, а его восстановление — процесс длительный и сложный. И все же это возможно! В этом убедились отдыхающие, когда побывали в адвентистском оздоровительном лагере «Пилигрим» на Арабатской стрелке, недалеко от Геническа, с 9 по 19 сентября 2012 года.
В лагерь приехали 37 человек из разных городов Украины. Среди них — 18 человек, которые не являются членами Церкви адвентистов седьмого дня.
В течение всей смены стояла прекрасная погода. Дни были солнечными, а Азовское море — тёплым и ласковым. Одним словом, бархатный сезон.
В первый же день все отдыхающие прошли медицинское обследование. И началась активная жизнь: зарядка, массаж и прогулки. Главное, что отличает отдых в подобных христианских лагерях санаторного типа — это не только оздоровление простыми природными методами (вода, воздух, питание, физкультура, массажи и т.д.), но и духовное исцеление благодаря проповедям, молитвам, беседам и размышлениям о Боге и Его творении.
То, что во время духовных бесед отдыхающие услышали от руководителя лагеря Людмилы Барабаш и пастора местной церкви Оганеса Даллакяна, перевернуло многие устоявшиеся представления. Предлагалось не просто усваивать информацию, но размышлять, сомневаться и убеждаться.
К концу заезда люди настолько сдружились, что стали как одна семья. В последний вечер, который запомнился особой теплотой и светлой грустью, все получили памятные подарки и дипломы о прохождении оздоровительного курса. Эффект был налицо: кто-то перестал хромать и пользоваться палочкой, кто-то распрямил спину, другие забыли о головной боли, у многих нормализовалось артериальное давление, а некоторые сбросили лишний вес.
Во время прощания участники лагеря со слезами на глазах выражали желание встретиться в следующем году.
To ruin one’s health is very simple, but to restore one’s health is a lengthy and complicated process. Still, it is possible! Thanks to the Adventist camp, “Pilgrims,” 37 campers soon became aware of this fact.
The “Pilgrim” camp is situated on Arabatskaya strelka, near Genichesk, next to the Azov Sea. The 37 people came from different cities of Ukraine. Among them there were 18 people who are not members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. During this time the weather was perfect. The days were sunny and the Azov Sea was warm and caressing. In short, it was the “velvet” season (warm autumn months at Ukrainian’s southern holiday resorts).
On the first day all the campers had a medical examination. Then an active life began: exercises, massage and nutrition. The main difference between the vacationers of a holiday resort and attendees of this Christian sanatorium is that in addition to treatments of simple natural methods (water, air, food, exercise, massage, etc.), is the emphasis on spiritual healing through sermons, prayers, conversations and reflections on God and His creation.
Many campers changed their fixed notions of health due to the spiritual presentations of Lyudmila Barabash, the head of the camp, and of Oganes Dallakyan, a pastor of the local church. The speakers asked the attendees not to simply absorb information, but also to think, to question and to receive the evidence presented.
Throughout the program people became such good friends that they felt like a family. On the last night, which is fondly remembered by everyone, all received gifts and certificates of passing the health course. The effect of the program was obvious: one person stopped limping and using a walking stick, another straightened his back, while others forgot about their headaches and normalized their blood pressure, and, also, there were some who lost weight. During the farewell, all campers tearfully expressed a desire to meet again next year.
