Раздаются звуки труб и скрипки, через несколько мгновений они сливаются воедино с музыкальной группой и хором, который исполняет гимн «Как дивна благодать Твоя». Все в зале затаили дыхание, атмосфера Неба наполнила храм второй одесской общины Адвентистов седьмого дня. Так торжественно начался Первый Миссионерский молодежный конгресс «А мне бы в небо!»
В ходе программы состоялись флеш-моб, миссионерский выход в субботу в парк имени Горького, проповеди, предметные уроки, дискуссии и многое другое.
Конгресс посетили руководитель молодежи Украинской унионной конференции (УУК) Владимир Велещук, руководитель молодежи Южной конференции (ЮК) Евгений Алёхин, пасторы Дмитрий Поправкин, Ярослав Моток, Оганес Даллакян и др.
Со вступительным словом к гостям обратился пастор шестой и седьмой общин г. Одессы Ярослав Моток, который рассказал о городе Новом Иерусалиме, приготовленном для грядущего сошествия на землю. Молодые люди Виталий Колпаков и Максим Ябанжи поделились с молодежью удивительными опытами своего пути к Господу. Дмитрий Поправкин удостоверил присутствующих, что с Богом мы больше, чем победители. Он призывал молодежь быть уверенными в том, что Господь всегда идёт впереди и устраивает нашу жизнь, решает, например, вопросы сдачи экзаменов в иные дни кроме субботы и другие наши проблемы. И даже если планы не исполняются, призвал быть уверенными в том, что Господь готовит для нас что-то лучшее.
Владимир Велещук благодарил одесскую молодежь за инициативу проведения молодежного конгресса и призвал не отсиживаться на балконных местах, а стать активными участниками служения: петь, проповедовать, выходить в парки с миссионерской вестью. Он воодушевил молодежь быть «во главе, а не в хвосте», шагать со Христом только в первом ряду. Владимир также сообщил о том, что 16 марта 2013 года определен Генеральной конференцией как Международный день адвентистской молодежи, который станет началом Недели активного служения молодежи по всей Украине.
Евгений Алехин представил делегатам такие проекты как: «Бог в моей жизни, моей церкви, моем пасторе и моем городе». Оганес Даллакян подчеркнул, что проповедь сегодня — это мы и жизнь каждого из нас. Анатолий Жаловага поведал о миссионерской работе Церкви Адвентистов седьмого дня в Польше, где подавляющая часть жителей — католики. Церковь активно распространяет книгу «Великая борьба», проповедует через Интернет, организовывает спортивные соревнования и футбольные турниры.
Во второй день конгресса молодежь проводила богослужения в пятой одесской общине, а также инициировала миссионерский выход на территорию близлежащего парка микрорайона Черемушки. Некоторые молодые люди своим пением несли прохожим весть о любви Господа.
Другие юноши и девушки проводили социологические опросы, а также раздавали газеты «Вечное сокровище». Еще одна группа юных миссионеров наглядно представила пророчество из второй главы книги пророка Даниила об истукане, рассказывая о четырех мировых империях, предсказанных Даниилом 2500 лет назад, а также о том, что никто не знает точной даты конца света. Мир закончит свое существование Вторым пришествием Иисуса Христа, Который положит конец греху и установит вечное Божье царство. Многие люди останавливались и внимательно наблюдали представление.
В третий день конгресса проходили дискуссии на темы: «Служение и грех», «Как мои мысли могут изменить мою жизнь», «Точка восстановления или перезагрузка системы», а также «Где начинается Царство Божие». Молодые люди проявили живой интерес к затронутым темам и принимали активное участие в их обсуждении.
В завершение конгресса Владимир Велещук обратился ко всем участникам с вестью о том, что Бог ближе к нам, чем мы думаем. На расстоянии одного вопроса Он находился от Адама, спрашивая: «Где ты?», от Илии, спрашивая: «Почему ты здесь?». На расстоянии одного взгляда Он был от Агари, когда она заблудилась с ребенком в пустыне, и указал ей на колодец с водой. На расстоянии одной молитвы — от Даниила, ответив ему, когда тот еще не окончил свой разговор с Ним. От кого-то Он на расстоянии одной просьбы, одной мысли, вытянутой руки.
На протяжении конгресса молодежь, как рассказали многие делегаты, пребывала в атмосфере Неба. Во время песнопений, проповедей чувствовалась близость Господа, и желание скорее увидеть Его наполняло сердца всех участников.
There was the sound of pipes and violin, just few moments later they merged with a band and choir, which performed the hymn “Amazing grace”. Everyone in the hall held their breath, the atmosphere of heaven filled the temple of the second Seventh-day Adventist congregation in Odessa. With such a solemn spirit the first Youth Missionary Congress “I would like to be in heaven!” was opened.
During the program a flash mob, various sermons, subject lessons, discussions were carried out, as well as missionary going out to the Gorky Park on Saturday.
Among the guests of the congress were Vladimir Velechuk, Youth director of the Ukrainian Union Conference (UUC), Evgeniy Alekhin, youth director of the Southern Conference (SC), pastor Dmitry Popravkin, Jaroslav Motok, Oganes Dallakyan and others.
Jaroslav Motok, pastor of the sixth and seventh church in Odessa, addressed an appeal to the guests. He spoke about the city of New Jerusalem, prepared for the coming descent onto the earth. Young people Vitaly Kolpakov and Maxim Yabanzhi shared with the youth amazing experience of their way to the Lord. Dmitry Popravkin assured all the people that we are more than simply conquerors with God. He urged young people to be confident that the Lord is always near and He puts our life in order, that He even solves the questions concerning exams on other days except Sabbath and other problems. And even if the plans don’t come true, he called to remain faithful and be sure that God is preparing us for something better.
Vladimir Velechuk thanked the youth of Odessa for the initiating the Youth Congress and urged not to sit out on the balcony but become active participants in the ministry: sing, preach, go to the park with the missionary news. He encouraged the young people to be “the head not the tail”, to walk with Christ only in the first line. Vladimir also said that on the 16th of March, 2013 the International Day of Adventist Youth was determined by the General Conference; it will be the beginning of the week of the active youth ministry in Ukraine.
Evgeniy Alekhin presented to the delegates different projects, such as: “God is in my life, my church, my pastor, and my city”. Oganes Dallakyan said that preaching today – is what we are, all our life. Anatoly Zhalovaga shared the experience of the missionary work of the Seventh-day Adventist church in Poland, where the vast majority of people are Catholics. Church actively distributes the book “The Great Controversy”, preaches through the Internet and organizes sports and football tournaments.
On the second day of the Congress, youth held a worship in the fifth Odessa church and initiated missionary going out to the territory nearby the Cheryomushki park district. Some young people shared the message of God’s love with the passers through their singing.
Other boys and girls conducted surveys, as well as handed out the newspaper “Eternal treasure”. Another group of young missionaries visually presented the prophecy from the second chapter of the book of Daniel about the great image, describing the four world empires predicted by Daniel 2500 years ago, and the fact that no one knows the exact date of the end of the world. This world will end its existence with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, who will put an end to sin and establish God’s everlasting kingdom. Many people stopped to watch the presentation.
On the third day of the congress there was a topic discussion: “Ministry and sin,” “How my thoughts can change my life,” “Recovery point or rebooting the system,” and “Where the kingdom of God begins.” Young people have shown keen interest in the various questions, and actively participated in the discussion.
At the end of the congress Vladimir Velechuk appealed to all the participants with the message that God is closer to us than we think. At a distance of one question He was then with Adam, asking “Where are you?,” from Elijah, asking “Why are you here?” At a distance of one look He was with Hagar, when she was lost in the desert with a child, He showed her a well with water. At a distance of one prayer – from Daniel, answering him when he had not yet finished his supplication. He is at a distance of one plea, one thought, at arm’s length.
According to the number of the participants during the congress the youth was in the atmosphere of heaven. During singing and preaching hearts of all the participants were filled with the closeness of God and a strong desire to see Him soon.
