В молитвенном доме второй черниговской общины адвентистов седьмого дня 16 марта царило оживление. Здесь, по адресу ул. 1-го Мая, 166-а, собрались дети из всех общин города для особого служения — посвящения новых ребят в члены клуба следопытов.
Поприветствовав подростков с праздником, руководитель клуба следопытов Маргарита Мужеская поделилась опытом, как при помощи молитвы у нее решился сложный вопрос с операцией. Друзья собрали для нее именно ту сумму, которая была ей необходима.
Руководитель следопытского служения Центральной конференции Александр Мельник рассказал о важности этого служения, ведь, как говорила Эллен Уайт, именно молодежи предстоит завершать Божье дело на этой земле. «Ибо вы к тому призваны, потому что Христос пострадал за нас, оставив нам пример, дабы мы шли по следам Его», — еще в древности учил апостол Петр.
Затем ребята просмотрели видеофильм о санитаре Доссе, который, будучи христианином, не сделал ни единого выстрела во время Второй мировой войны, а, рискуя своей жизнью, всегда находился под обстрелом, спасая раненых. Сначала, видя его часто молящимся, многие над ним насмехались и считали слабоумным, но когда увидели силу молитвы, отношение к этому парнишке радикально изменилось. В военных архивах даже сохранилась радиограмма, в которой сообщалось, что победа над японцами была одержана благодаря молитвам Досса.
«Третью часть населения нашей планеты сегодня составляют дети до 15 лет. И хотя у нас сейчас нет войны, вы все находитесь на поле духовной битвы. На каждом шагу лукавый расставляет свои ловушки, но если вы будете держаться за Божью руку, то станете инструментом в руках нашего Создателя», — сказал в своем духовном наставлении Александр Мельник.
И, конечно же, на этом празднике посвящении звучали песни и поздравления, а те, кто присоединился к семье следопытов, получили подарки.
В заключение пастор Александр Шнуренко обратился к следопытам со словами: «Вы особенное поколение — поколение онлайн, проводящее много времени в общении с друзьями в виртуальном мире. И я очень желаю, чтобы не они на вас оказывали влияние, а вы на них. Всегда помните мудрые слова царя Соломона: “Веселись, юноша, в юности твоей, и да вкушает сердце твое радости во дни юности твоей, и ходи по путям сердца твоего, и по видению очей твоих; только знай, что за все это Бог приведет тебя на суд”» (Еккл. 11:9).
On 16 March there was a great animation in the house of prayer of second Chernihiv church. Here, at the address May 1st street 166-a, children from all congregations of the city came together for a special service – the dedication ceremony of new members of the Pathfinders club.
After her welcoming speech, Margaret Muzheskaya, Pathfinders club director, shared her experience. She told those present how through prayer she decided tough question with surgery. Her friends gathered for it the same amount of money that was necessary.
Alexander Melnik, Pathfinders ministry director of the Central Conference spoke about the importance of this ministry, because, as Ellen White said, it is young people will finish God’s work on earth. The apostle Peter taught, “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps”.
Then the guys viewed video of a medical orderly Desmond Doss, who, as a Christian, did not make a single shot during the Second World War, and at the risk of his life, had always been under fire, rescuing the wounded. At first, seeing him often praying, many mocked and considered him feeble-minded, but when they saw the power of prayer, their attitude to him had changed radically. In the military archives there is even a radio message, which says that the victory over the Japanese was won because of the Doss prayers.
“A third of the world’s population today are children younger than 15 years old. Although we do not have war, you all are on the spiritual battle. The evil one puts his cunning traps at every turn, but if you hold on to the hand of God, you will become a tool in the hands of our Creator,” said Alexander Melnik in his spiritual admonition.
And, of course, during this celebration of the dedication there was a lot of songs and greetings, and those who joined the Pathfinders family were given gifts.
In conclusion, pastor Alexander Shnurenko addressed to pathfinders with the words: “You are a special generation – the generation of online, that spend a lot of time communicating with friends in the virtual world. And I really wish that not you but they were influenced by you. Always remember the wise words of King Solomon: “Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment” (Ecclesiastes 11:9).
