«Много может усиленная молитва праведника»[:en]“The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16)
Молитва пастораРадостным событием завершился очередной период жизни и работы Первой тульской церкви адвентистов седьмого дня (Октябрьской церкви).
В субботу, 5 октября были крещены три девушки – и у каждой из них своя, непохожая на других история. Но все эти истории говорят нам об одном: «Много может усиленная молитва праведника!».
Уже больше десяти лет, в нашей церкви, свое молитвенное ходатайственное служение совершает малая группа, там, где молятся мамы. Молитвы о детях совершаются каждый день: за своих и чужих, (хотя «чужих» детей, для христиан не может быть), которые находятся пока далеко от Господа, и тех, которые регулярно посещают церковь. Молитвенный список «мамской церкви», как ее шутливо называют в общине, насчитывает более 300 имен и фамилий. И мы, являемся живыми свидетелями чудесных ответов на молитвы, ведь наш Господь – Великий Бог! И если «Божий народ молится – Он его слышит, и отвечает»…
Надежда, Лиля и КсенияОдним из недавних ответов на молитвы матерей было возвращение к Господу, Романа Шарыкина, который, в определенный момент, стал отдаляться от церкви. Однако, «пути Господни неисповедимы»! И, в один из счастливых дней своей жизни, Роман познакомился, а позже и женился на чудесной девушке, имя, которой было столь символично для Ромы – Надежда. А ведь еще давным-давно, царь Соломон написал такие слова: «Добродетельная жена – венец для мужа своего». Так и произошло в этом случае. Благодаря непрестанным молитвам, стараниям супруги, а также служению по программе «Вернись домой», сегодня Роман регулярно пребывает в Доме Божьем, а одним из плодов осенней жатвы в Первой Тульской Церкви является крещение Надежды Шарыкиной.
Поздравляет проповедникМолодежное служение – одно из самых приоритетных в нашей церкви. И неспроста, так как у нас, наряду с молодежью, пришедшей извне, много молодежи из семей, так называемых, «потомственных адвентистов». Все эти дети однажды встанут перед вопросом: «А является ли вера моих родителей – моей верой? Или я посещаю церковь по привычке?» На встречах тульского молодежного клуба «Под балконом», мы ищем ответы и на подобные вопросы. Лилия и Ксения – две сестры, о которых долгое время молились в нашей церкви. Живя в семье, где один из родителей далек от Бога, так много появляется соблазнов «не обращать внимания» на вечное. Однако эти молодые девушки сделали выбор в пользу Иисуса. На вопрос: «Почему вы хотите заключить завет с Господом?», они смело ответили: «Мы хотим стать родными детьми Великого Бога и присоединиться к Телу Христову, которым является Церковь!»
Кто-то скажет, что крещение в церкви – это естественно. Однако это больше, чем просто день, в который совершается церковный обряд. День сей – великий праздник! Ведь сам Иисус Христос, когда-то сказал: «Сказываю вам, что так на небесах более радости будет об одном грешнике кающемся, нежели о девяноста девяти праведниках, не имеющих нужды в покаянии».

[:en]Prayer of a pastorA joyous event concluded another period of life and work of Tula First Seventh-day Adventist Church (Octyabr’skaya congregation).
Three girls were baptized on Saturday, October 5. Each one of them has her own, unique story. But all these stories tell us about one thing: “The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”.
Our church has had an intercessory prayer group for more than ten years, this group consists of mothers. They pray for the children every day: for their own children, for children of other people (although there are no “somebody else’s children” for Christians), they pray for children who are far away from the Lord and for those who regularly attend the church. The prayer list of the “Mom’s church” as it humorously called in the congregation includes more than 300 names. And we are living witnesses of wondrous answers to prayers, because our Lord is the Great God! And if His people pray – He will hear them and will answer…
Nadezhda, Lilya and KsenyaOne of the recent answers to the prayers of mothers’ was return of Roman Sharykin to the Lord. At a certain point in his life Roman began drifting apart from the Church. But “God works in mysterious ways” on one of the happiest days in his life, Roman has met and later got married to a wonderful girl with a symbolic name Nadezhda (“hope” in Russian). Long time ago king Solomon wrote these words: “An excellent wife is the crown of her husband”. This is what happened in this case thanks to continuous prayers, efforts of his spouse and “Return home” program. Today Roman regularly attends the House of God, and one of the fruits of the autumn harvest in the First Church of Tula is a baptism of his wife Nadezhda Sharykina.
Greetings from the preacherYouth ministry is one of the priorities in our church. And there is a reason for that, because along with the youth who came from the world, we have a lot of young people from so-called “hereditary Adventists.” Once all these children will face a question: “Is the faith of my parents – my faith? Or I attend church out of habit ?” We are looking for answers for such questions at the meetings of the Tula youth club named “Under the balcony”. Liliya and Ksenya are two sisters, our church has been praying for them for a long time. When you live in a family where one parent is far away from God there are so many temptations “not to pay attention to eternal matters”. But these young girls have made their choice in favor of Jesus. They boldly answered a question “Why do you want to make a covenant with the Lord?” “We want to become children of the Great God and to join the Body of Christ which is the Church!”
Somebody could say that a baptism in the church is a natural event. But it is much more than a day when a certain ritual is performed in the church. This day is a great holiday! Jesus Christ Himself once said: “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety just persons who need no repentance”.
