Община города Онеги провела жатвенное служение, преодолевая стихию природы.
К жатвенному служению активно готовились все – взрослые и дети. Вечером в субботу участники программы собрались на репетицию, сделали последние приготовления, молились и были уверены в том, что получится замечательный праздник. На утро ждало огорчение – на улице бушевал ураганный ветер с дождем. Некоторые из сестер стали звонить и спрашивать, будет ли праздничное служение в такую погоду. Но организаторы праздника были уверены, что Господь слышал их молитвы, люди приглашены, и ничто не должно помешать. На память пришли строчки из псалма «…ветер, дождь и туман застилает глаза, а ты все же ищи Иисуса Христа». 
Но впереди ждала еще большая неприятность. Когда члены церкви приехали в Дом молитвы, чтобы репетировать и подготовить зал, оказалось, что в этом районе города нет света, потому что упавшее дерево оборвало провода. Ветер бушевал: обрывал шифер с крыш домов, валил деревья, а с ветром принесло дождь и снег. Что делать? Уверенные, что Господь поможет, устроители праздника стали готовиться. Зал уже был готов, а электричества все не было, да и людей пришло мало. Брат Валерий Тривайло предложил привезти свой генератор. Служение отложили на 40 минут. За это время подошли те, кто вначале не решался идти, и зал был почти полон – собратья, гости и даже дети не испугались ненастной погоды. Вскоре с помощью генератора заработала техника – мощности хватило, чтобы работало самое необходимое. Праздник прошел на славу. Дети и взрослые прославляли Бога в стихах и песнопениях за Его чудную заботу о Своих детях.

Adventist congregation in Onega had a Harvest celebration, overcoming the storm
Both children and adults were getting ready for the Harvest celebration. On Sabbath evening the participants gathered for a rehearsal, made last preparations, prayed and were sure that they will have a wonderful celebration. But in the morning they were upset because a storm and rain were raging outside. Some of the sisters phoned and asked if we were going to have a celebration during such weather. But the organizers were sure that the Lord had heard their prayers, guests were invited and nothing should intervene the celebration. We remembered the lines of a well-known hymn: “Wind, rain and fog mist your eyes, but you have to look for Jesus Christ”. But the bigger trouble was still ahead. When church members arrived to the chapel to rehearse and to prepare the worship hall, it turned out that there was not electricity in this city district, because a tree fell and broke the wires. The wind was raging, it cut slate from rooftops, stroke down trees and brought rain and snow. What should they do? Celebration organizers were sure that the Lord would help and they started their preparations. The worship hall was ready, but still there was no electricity and a small group of people came. Brother Valeriy Trivaylo suggested to bring his generator. The worship was postponed for 40 minutes. During this time arrived those who did not dare to come at the beginning and the hall was almost full with our guests, bretheren and even children who were not afraid of the bad weather. Soon the technical equipment started working because of a generator and the power was enough to turn on the most needed things. We had an excellent celebration. Children and adults glorified God in poems and songs for His wonderful care for His children.
