Впервые на территории Северо-Западного объединения прошёл молодёжный конгресс. Со 2 по 5 ноября 2012 года северная столица России гостеприимно приняла около 200 человек со всех уголков СЗО – юношей и девушек, объединенных общим девизом: «Достигая цели».
Сюрпризом для всех делегатов конгресса стал приезд молодёжных лидеров Геннадия Касапа (Евро-Азиатский дивизион) и Александра Турецкого (Западно-Российский союз), которые в своих духовных обращениях к молодежным представителям всех общин Северо-Запада и семинарах обучали и воодушевляли к ревностному служению Богу.
Четыре дня программы конгресса были настолько благословенными и насыщенными, что порой даже не оставалось времени на сон. Каждый вечер ребята оставляли место собрания как можно позже, чтобы насладиться всей программой, т.к. желание участвовать в работе конгресса пересиливало время и расстояние.
В рамках конгресса были проведены семинары, круглый стол и горячий микрофон, где юноши и девушки могли задавать вопросы на темы, волнующие молодёжь в двадцать первом веке. В воскресенье молодёжь получила возможность попробовать себя в миссионерском служении. Кто-то участвовал впервые, но по воодушевленным и радостным лицам можно было прочитать, что очень многие остались довольными. В автобусе все живо делились своими впечатлениями. Акция проходила в пригородном месте Санкт-Петербурга в Красном Селе, где ребятам вручили восемь тысяч газет «Сокрытое сокровище», восемь карт местности и всех объединили по группам. Лично для меня это служение было во многом новым и интересным: да, где-то нас игнорировали, а где-то пытались даже угостить чаем. Это время действительно стало для всех благословенным.
Духовным плодом и торжественным событием конгресса стало крещение двух молодых людей – Маргариты Богдановой и Евгения Скосарева, которые решили заключить завет с Господом. Во время призыва посвятить свою жизнь Господу вышли ещё десять человек, желающих в будущем принять крещение. Вместе с небесами радовался весь зал! Благодарность Господу за удивительное действие Святого Духа в сердцах людей, которые откликаются на призыв служить Господу.
«Когда-нибудь и я достигну своей цели», – написал один из участников в отзывах о конгрессе. Цели… У всех они разные, но нас объединяет любовь к Богу и ожидание Второго пришествия Иисуса Христа.
Время, проведенное на конгрессе, не прошло даром. Господь каждого благословил по-Своему. Благодарность Ему за всё! Было задумано многое, но мы с Божьей помощью сделали нужное. Достигать цели сложно. Но никто не сказал, что невозможно. С Господом всё возможно! Не бойтесь ставить цели и достигать их!
For the first time in the North-Western Union a Youth Congress was held. From November 2nd to 5th 2012, the northern capital of Russia welcomed about 200 people from all over the NWU. Boys and girls were united by a common motto: “Achieving the goal.”
A surprise to all the delegates of the Congress was the arrival of youth leaders, Gennady Kasap (Euro-Asia Division) and Alexander Turetsky (West Russian Union). In their spiritual addresses to delegates of all the churches of the North-West and during their seminars they taught and inspired young people to be zealous servants of God.
The four-day program of the Congress was so blessed and full of content that sometimes there was no time even for sleep. Every evening, boys and girls left the meeting place as late as possible to enjoy the entire program in full, since the wish to participate in the Congress overpowered time and distance.
During the Congress there were workshops, round table discussions and a hot microphone (so that boys and girls could ask questions on topics of the hour), thrilling the young people of the twenty-first century. On Sunday, young people had the opportunity to try themselves in missionary service. For some this was their first experience with missionary service. One could notice the enthusiastic and joyful faces, and read that many were pleased. On the return bus trip, everybody shared his impressions. The activity took place in a suburban area of St. Petersburg, Krasnoe Selo, where the youth, equipped with eight maps and being joined in groups, distributed eight thousand newspapers “Sokrytoe sokrovische” (Hidden Treasure). For me personally, this ministry was new and interesting in many ways. Yes, sometime people ignored us, but in some instances people even tried to invited us inside their homes and treat us with tea. This time was really a blessing for all of us.
As a spiritual fruit and a solemn event of the Congress there was the baptism of two young people who decided to make a covenant with the Lord. During the call to devote their lives to the Lord, ten youth raised their hands and wanted to be baptized in the future. The hall rejoiced with the heavens! Thanks to the Lord for the wonderful work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of the people who responded to the call to serve the Lord.
“One day I reach my goal,” wrote one participant in his review of the Congress. Goals … We all have different ones, but we share the love of God and live with the expectation of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Time at the Congress was not spent in vain. God blessed everyone. Thank Him for everything! We had planned much, but with God’s help, we have completed what had to be done. Achieving the goal is easier said than done. But no one said that it is impossible. With God all things are possible! Do not be afraid to set goals and achieve them!
