В Архангельской области, на берегу Белого моря расположился маленький провинциальный городок Онега. Этот город был основан в 1780 году по указу императрицы Екатерины. Здесь в 1995 году впервые проповедовалась Адвентистская весть. Небольшая группа верующих собиралась в арендуемом зале городской библиотеки и каждую субботу были переживания, не будет ли опять занят зал. Вся остальная церковная жизнь проходила в доме пастора Вачева Владимира Михайловича. Церковь молилась о собственном здании, и Господь усмотрел такую возможность. В 1998 году община приобрела старенькое здание городского водоканала для проведения богослужений и программ. Братья и сестры радовались появившейся возможности и посещали все служения, не смотря на холод, поскольку в здании не было центрального отопления. Зимы на севере суровые и руководство Северо-Западногой конференции приняло решение о строительстве нового молитвенного дома в этом городе. Лесозаготовительные предприятия, которые являются градообразующими, перестали функционировать, и в городе был высокий уровень безработицы. Не смотря на все эти трудности, небольшая община была очень жертвенна.
Члены церкви выразили желание активно участвовать в этом строительстве, и весной 2010 года бригада пасторов под руководством Манилича Виктора Танасьевича положила основание нового молитвенного дома. Основную работу по подготовке документов и строительных материалов члены церкви выполнили самостоятельно. Маленькая община не имеет служителя, и все строительные работы координировал областной пастор Богданов Валерий Михайлович, который трудился в 180 км от Онеги. Осенью этого же года выросли стены из бруса, а весной 2011года появилась крыша, окна; было проведено отопление, чтобы церковь могла в тепле проводить богослужения.
Осенью 2012 года силы членов церкви и пасторов снова объединились для завершения строительства, и наконец, 22 сентября прошло торжественное посвящение нового Дома молитвы для прославления Господа. Сразу же после посвящения двери молитвенного дома открылись для горожан, которые были приглашены на евангельскую программу. Евангельские встречи проводил пастор Виктор Костев, которые посещало 10-12 новых людей. Четыре бывших члена церкви вернулись; есть люди, которые готовятся к крещению. После программы члены церкви занимаются по урокам с теми, кто хочет заключить завет с Господом.

In Arkhangelsk region, by the White Sea is the small town of Onega. This town was founded in 1780 by decree of empress Catherine. The Adventist message was first preached here in 1995. A small group of believers met in a rented hall within the town library every Saturday, however, there was not any guarantee that they would be able to rent the hall next Sabbath. The rest of the church activities were held in the house of local pastor, Vladimir Vachev. The church prayed for its own building, and the Lord provided such opportunity. In 1998, the congregation purchased an old building that the town had used as a water and wastewater treatment plant. Despite the cold (the building had no central heating), the brothers and sisters were grateful for this building and visited all services.
In the North of Russia winters are very severe and the leaders of North Western Conference decided to build a new house of worship in the town. Then the logging enterprises, which are economic base of town, ceased to function and there was high unemployment in the town. Despite all these difficulties, the small congregation was very sacrificial. Church members expressed a desire to actively participate in the construction and in the spring of 2010 a team of pastors under the guidance of Victor Manilich laid the foundation of a new house of worship. The church members themselves prepared the documentation and provided the building materials. This small congregation was very dedicated, especially as they have no minister, and regional pastor Valery Bogdanov, who serves 180 kilometers from Onega, coordinated all construction. In the autumn of that year, the timber walls were built, and in the spring of 2011, a roof and windows were added. Central heating was put in so the church could hold services in the warmth. In autumn of 2012 the forces of church members and of pastors were united to complete the construction. Finally, on September 22 a solemn dedication of the new house of prayer for the glory of the Lord was held.
A special evangelical program was planned for the townspeople immediately after the dedication. Pastor Victor Costev conducted the evangelistic meetings and they were attended by 10-12 of new people. Four former members of the church returned back, and there are some people who are preparing for baptism. After the program, members of the church studied the Bible with those who wanted to learn more about Jesus. Praise the Lord for this new House of Prayer, erected for the worship to God and for the salvation of men!
