Почему мы выбрали эту Церковь и что можем сделать для нее? Почему христианин бывает разочарован, хотя обладает истиной? — эти и многие другие вопросы адвентистская молодежь обсуждала на XVII Молодежной библейской конференции «Стоящая на камне», которая прошла 20 – 21 октября в г. Николаеве.
Делегаты съехались из пяти южных регионов Украины — АР Крыма, Херсонской, Николаевской, Одесской областей и Заднестровья. Основной темой была «Церковь и участие в ней молодежи». За время встречи молодые люди убедились, что именно в церкви они сотрудничают с Господом в деле спасения. В этом Божьем установлении есть место для каждого, кто желает реализовать себя в служении людям. Здесь можно получить поддержку в бедах и ответы на свои вопросы, почувствовать, что принят Богом и услышать Его голос…
Украшением конференции стала николаевская музыкальная группа прославления «Пазлы». Возносили хвалу Богу в песнях также и сольные исполнители. Порадовали следопыты: особенно запомнились маршировка клуба «Катран» и сценическая зарисовка одесситов «О друзьях».
Во время «Круглого стола» делегаты задавали служителям церкви интересующие их вопросы. Говорили о святости субботы, о грехе, о том, как открыть в себе призвание к служению, об аплодисментах в церкви и участии адвентистской молодежи в выборах.
В субботу вечером богослужение завершилось выступлением Киевского адвентистского театра «Верим» с постановкой «Марионетки». Это история о великой борьбе между Богом и дьяволом за сердца людей, о поисках Бога, стремлении человека заработать любовь и принятие окружающих собственными делами. «Проверьте свой счет! Господь дал нам миллионы любви! — говорит один из персонажей пьесы. — Он дал нам всю любовь, существующую в этом мире, нам нужно только поверить и открыть для Него свое сердце!»
Центральным событием библейской конференции стало торжественное служение крещения. В воскресенье утром к большой церковной семье присоединились пять молодых людей, принявших самое важное в жизни решение — посвятить себя Иисусу. Каждый из них поделился своим особенным опытом с Богом, рассказал, как именного Дух Святой привел его к заключению завета.
Интересно и весело прошла акция для жителей Николаева — с помощью флэшмоба молодежь напомнила людям о простых вещах, способных изменить многое в жизни каждого.
«Улыбнись!», «Пожми мне руку», «Обними друга», «Позвони маме», «Сходи в Церковь» — таблички с такими пожеланиями в руках более 150 участников мероприятия увидели жители города, прогуливающиеся по улице Советской. Акция нашла радостный отклик в сердцах многих николаевцев.
Why do we chose this church and what we can do for it? Why could a Christian be disappointed while he has the truth? These and many other questions were discussed by Adventist youth during the 17th Youth Biblical Conference, “Standing on the rock”, held on October 20 to 21 in the city of Mykolayiv.
Delegates came from five southern regions of Ukraine: Crimea, Kherson, Mykolayiv, Odesa and Transnistria. The main topic of conference was, “The church and the involvement of young people.” During the meeting, young people were convinced that it was in the church that they cooperate with the Lord in the work of salvation. In this God’s institution there is a place for everyone who wants to work in service to others. It is here one can get support in times of trouble, answers to his questions, and feel that he is accepted by God and can hear His voice.
The real decoration of the conference was Mykolayiv musical group “Puzzles.” Solo performers also offered praise to God. Happiness was brought to everyone by the Pathfinders, especially with the marching of Katran club and the stage sketch of Odessa delegates, “About Friends.”
During the “Round Table” delegates asked church officials their questions. They talked about the sanctity of the Sabbath, about sin, about how to recognize a call to a ministry, about the appropriateness of applause in the Church and about participation of Adventist young people in elections.
The Saturday night worship service concluded by Kiev Adventist Theater “We Believe” with a performance “Puppets”. It was a story of the great controversy between God and the devil for the hearts of people, of a search for God, and of a human desire to earn the love and acceptance of others with their own deeds. “Check your bill! The Lord has given us millions of love!” says one of the characters in the play, “he gave us all the love that exists in this world, but we need to believe and open our heart to Him!”
The central event of the conference was the biblical baptismal ceremony. On Sunday morning, five young people made the most important decision in their life, to devote himself to Jesus, and joined the large church family. Each of them shared their special experience with God and told how the Holy Spirit led them to the making of the covenant.
Another interesting and fun event for people of Mykolayiv was the flashmob by the Adventist youth. The message of this flashmob was a reminder to the people of the simple things that can make a huge impact on a person’s life.
“Smile,” “Shake hands with me,” “Give a big hug to a friend”, “Call your mom,” “Go to church,” these signs were the wishes in the hands of more than 150 participants who were seen by the residents of the city, walking down the street of Sovetskaya. The action got a joyful respond in the hearts of many city dwellers of Mykolayiv.
