В городе Находка Приморского края церковь посвятила себя особому виду служения – работе с людьми, пожелавшими коренным образом изменить свою жизнь, оставить наркотики и другие пагубные привычки. Как всегда, по четвергам, 29 ноября прошла очередная встреча по изучению Библии.
Пастор церкви г. Находка Рустам Гусейнов начал эту работу еще в ноябре 2011 года в г. Благовещенске Амурской области, когда совершал там служение. Вместе с Еленой Левочкиной, руководителем Миссионерского отдела церкви г. Благовещенска, опытной литературной евангелисткой, они наладили связи с местным реабилитационным центром. Причем, сделано это было благодаря распространению книги «Великая борьба». Когда Елена подарила эту книгу нанятым ею рабочим. С радостью приняв книгу, один из них посетовал: «мы сильны в вере, но кто бы нас в Слове Божьем наставил». С ответом Елена не растерялась и предложила встретиться с пастором. И со следующего вечера пастор Рустам начал проводить с ними библейские курсы по пособию «Так говорит Библия». Затем на базе центра проводилась слайдовая евангельская программа по Заповедям блаженства.
Каково же было удивление пастора и благодарность Богу, когда, прибыв на новое место служения в г. Находку, он узнал, что эта же организация сама вышла на нашу церковь с просьбой проводить с ними встречи! Вот как об этом рассказывает сам Рустам:
– Началось все с решения посвятить себя на служение Богу и молитвы об этом. Сначала были попытки распространять книги. Прошлой зимой в малой группе решили, что сестра Тамара, работающая на рынке, поставит в своей лавке столик с книгами. Таким образом, наша литература стала доступна населению в любое время года. Каждый день были беседы с интересующимися.
Так в один день подошли два парня и, увидев духовные книги, разговорились и просили Тамару подарить им Библию. Сказали, что живут и работают в реабилитационном центре для наркоманов и алкоголиков, которые хотят избавиться от зависимости. Центр назывался тогда «Преображение России». Они просили, чтобы кто-нибудь из церкви приходил к ним проводить библейские беседы. Эту просьбу обсудили в церкви, помолились, испросив Божьего благословения и 5 апреля 2012 г. в первый раз переступили порог этого центра. Пришли пресвитер, руководитель миссионерского отдела, а также сестры с музыкальным служением. Пресвитер провел первый урок из серии «Так говорит Библия» для восьми из присутствующих там мужчин. После знакомства и занятия руководитель центра предложил приходить к ним еще. Решили продолжать встречи еженедельно.
Каждую субботу в миссионерских вестях церкви сообщалось об этом служении. На первой встрече в центре всем присутствующим раздали открытки с библейскими текстами и обетованиями. Затем попросили присутствующих написать на этих открытках свое имя, а в общине раздали их братьям и сестрам с просьбой молиться об этих душах. В последующие встречи дарились книги «Великая борьба», газеты «Сокрытое сокровище», DVD-диски с духовным пением и лекциями Жданова про алкогольную зависимость.
Владимир, один мужчина из центра, попал в больницу с инфарктом. Мы его посетили и пришли, конечно, не с пустыми руками. Он был очень удивлен такому отношению.
За 10 месяцев в центре сменились и люди и руководители, но нас также рады видеть, и занятия по четвергам там не прерываются и поныне. Новым людям вновь приготовлены Библии, «Великая борьба», миссионерские газеты, теплые вещи, обувь.
Мы испытываем величайшие благословения, служа этим людям, оказавшимся «на кромке» жизни. Именно этими дорогами ходил Спаситель, и, проповедуя там, испытываешь влияние Духа Святого порой сильнее, чем за кафедрой в субботу. Это те люди, которым мы должны служить. Некоторые из них с трудом читают и порой даже не могут выразить свои мысли. Особенную радость испытываешь, когда видишь, как Слово Божье буквально преображает и духовно и физически этих людей. Как горят их глаза! Какие многозначительные паузы! Бывают и огорчения – кто-то скептически относится, кто-то срывается и уходит в никуда… Но там ВСЕГДА есть нуждающиеся в Слове Божьем!
Когда я проводил такие встречи в Благовещенске, то отношения так укрепились, что мы и чай с ними пили и молились по очень личным вопросам. И если я долго не был у них, то ощущал потребность увидеть их, как, впрочем, и они. До сих пор с некоторыми держу связь.
Друзья! Всячески распространяйте книгу года «Великая борьба»! Бог открывает возможности порой самым неожиданным образом. Пусть Бог благословит нас служить Ему в таких центрах!
In the city of Nakhodka, Primorye territory, the church dedicated itself to a special kind of ministry – working with people, who want to change their life radically, give up drugs and other addictions. As usually, on Thursday, on the 29th of November a regular meeting devoted to the Bible study was held.
Rustam Guseinov started this work in November 2011 in Blagoveshchensk, Amur region, where he served as a pastor. Together with Elena Liovochkin, an experienced literature evangelist and Missionary Department director of the Blagoveshchensk church, they established contacts with the local rehabilitation center. Moreover, this was done due to the spread of the book “The Great Controversy,” when Elena gave the book to the hired workers. Having gladly accepted the book one of them complained, “We are strong in faith, but where is that person who could guide us to the Word of God”. Elena didn’t hesitate with the answer and offered them to meet the pastor. And the next evening, Rustam started Bible courses using the manual “Thus says the Bible”. Then on the basis of the center a slide program on the declarations of blessedness was conducted.
What a surprise to the pastor and thanks to God, when having come to a new place of service in the city of Nakhodka, he learned that the same organization found our church with a request to conduct meetings with them! That is how Rustam tells about it:
– It all started with the decision to devote ourselves to the service of God and pray about it. First, there were attempts to distribute books. Last winter, a small group decided that sister Tamara who works in the market would put a table with books in the shop. This way, our literature has become available to the public all year round. Each day we had conversations with those who were interested.
That’s how one day two guys came up and when they saw spiritual literature they got into a conversation with Tamara and asked her to give them the Bible. They said they are living and working in a rehabilitation center for drug addicts and alcoholics who want to get rid of the addiction. The center was called the “Transformation of Russia”. They asked that someone from the church came to them to have the biblical conversation. This request was discussed in church. Church members prayed asking God’s blessing and on the 5th of April, 2012 for the first time they crossed the threshold of the center. Pastor, director of the Missionary Department, and sisters of the music ministry came to that place. The elder conducted the first lesson of the series “Thus says the Bible” for eight men there. After the acquaintance and a lesson director of the Center offered to visit them again. We decided to continue weekly meetings.
Every Sabbath at the church missionary time the report about this ministry was given. At the first meeting in the center, cards with Bible verses and promises were given to all those present. Then people were asked to write their names on the cards, and later they were given to brothers and sisters of the church with a plea to pray for these souls. At the following meetings a book “The Great Controversy”, the newspaper “Hidden treasure”, DVDs with spiritual singing and lectures of Zhdanov about alcohol dependency were gifted.
Vladimir, a man from the center, was taken to hospital with a heart attack. We visited him and came, of course, not with empty hands. He was very surprised by such an attitude.
During 10 months people and leaders at the center changed many times, but we are still welcomed there, and Thursday classes are not uninterrupted up to this day. New people are given Bibles, “The Great Controversy”, missionary newspapers, warm clothes and shoes again and again.
We are experiencing the greatest blessing to serve these people who are “on the edge” of life. Savior walked the same way, and preaching there you feel the effect of the Holy Spirit at times stronger than at the pulpit on Sabbath. These are the people we must serve. Some of them are hard to read and sometimes can not express their thoughts. You experience special joy when you see the Word of God as it literally transforms these people both spiritually and physically. How their eyes shone with joy! What a significant pause! There are disappointments – some are skeptical, someone breaks down and goes nowhere… But there is always a need of the Word of God!
When I held such meetings in Blagoveshchensk, relationship strengthened so much that we drank tea with them, and prayed for the very personal matters. And if I didn’t visit them, I felt the need to see them, so did they. So far, I keep in touch with some of them.
Friends! Distribute the book of the year the “The Great Controversy” in every way! Sometimes God opens the possibility in the most unexpected ways. May God bless us to serve Him in the center!
