Благотворительный рождественский концерт «Зачем приходил Христос?» провели в городе адвентисты седьмого дня. 23 декабря музыкальная группа «Эскиз» из Днепропетровска и скрипичный ансамбль из Харькова объединили свои усилия для создания праздничной атмосферы и прославления Бога, пославшего в мир Спасителя.
Гостей встретили горячим чаем и звуками струнных инструментов. Затем все окунулись в мир рождественской музыки и пения. В программе прозвучали украинские, английские, немецкие и французские традиционные произведения акапелла и в сопровождении скрипок.
Театральная постановка и проповедь помогли зрителям задуматься над смыслом воплощения Иисуса Христа. Пастор Александр Мещеряков поделился с собравшимися тем, что говорит Библия о значении жизни и смерти Божьего Сына на Земле. Из двух сотен зрителей около тридцати не были адвентистами.
Не менее важной целью концерта был сбор пожертвований для помощи семье шестилетнего Тимофея Кампена, больного раком.
A Charity Christmas Concert, “Why did Christ come to our earth?” was held in the city of Dnepropetrovsk by the Seventh Day Adventists. On December 23 music group “Sketch” from Dnipropetrovsk and violin ensemble from Kharkov joined their forces to create a festive atmosphere to glorify God, who sent our Savior into the world.
The guests were welcomed with hot tea and the sounds of stringed instruments. Then the audience was plunged into the world of Christmas music and singing. There were a cappella Ukrainian, English, German and French traditional musical compositions and performances accompanied by violins.
Drama and preaching helped viewers to reflect on the meaning of the Incarnation of Jesus Christ. Pastor Alexander Meshcheryakov shared with the audience what the Bible says about the meaning of life and death of the Son of God on our earth. Out of two hundred spectators, thirty were not Adventists.
No less important goal of the concert was a fundraiser to help the family of Timothy Campen, a six-year-old cancer patient.
