«Как найти истинную Церковь» — так называлась тема, которую 12 апреля представлял слушателям в храме и телезрителям телеканала «Надежда» пастор Владимир Боровой. Он начал свою проповедь с библейского текста: «один Господь, одна вера, одно крещение» (Еф. 4:5). Отсюда логически следует, что Церковь у Бога тоже одна. Отношения между Богом и Его Церковью в Священном Писании сравниваются с отношениями между мужем и женой. Бог — Творец всего сущего, является и Творцом брака. И у Него может быть только одна жена. Цель Христа — возвратиться за Своей женой (Откр. 19:7).
Итак, Библия говорит, что есть только одна истинная Божия Церковь на земле. Как же её узнать? На этот счёт существует множество мнений, но самый надежный критерий — Слово Божье и то, что оно говорит по данному вопросу (Ис. 8:20). В частности, в книге Откровение уделяется большое внимание Церкви Божьей и её характеристике. Ее символом в Священном Писании является жена или дева (2 Кор. 11:2). Поэтому в тексте Откр. 12:1 в образе жены представлена Церковь, а сочетание солнца, луны и звёзд указывает на Божью творческую силу (Быт. 1:16). Как Господь сотворил солнце, луну и звезды, так Он установил Свою Церковь в этом мире (Мф. 16:18), а затем и отдал за нее Свою жизнь. В этом — самое высшее проявление любви Бога к Его детям.
«Только одна Церковь в мире отвечает всем этим признакам, одна-единственная из многих церквей не изменила своему Богу и осталась Ему верна», — подчеркнул в заключение проповедник. И эта верность Церкви — ее ответ на несравненную, превосходящую всякое разумение вечную Божью любовь. Эта же мысль прозвучала в пении «Святая Церковь» в исполнении Михаила Игнатова.
13 апреля размышления о Божьей любви продолжал пастор Лев Вертыло в теме «Непростительный грех». Прологом прозвучало пение Оксаны Козунь «Голос любви», после которого весьма уместным был вопрос проповедника: «Слышал ли ты, человек, Голос, который зовет тебя?».
Далее Лев Пантелеевич подчеркнул, что мы созданы Богом с внутренней потребностью принимать любовь и слышать о том, что нас любят. Если зачастую нам не дают этого люди, то Бог заверяет: «Любовью вечною Я возлюбил тебя и потому простер к тебе благоволение» (Иер. 31:3).
В Библии записан прекрасный гимн любви (1 Кор. 13), в котором, в частности, говорится, что любовь «все покрывает», т.е. прощает. Любить — значит прощать. И Бог, Который есть любовь, тоже прощает всякий грех (1 Ин. 1:7,9). Но все же есть грех, который Он не может простить (Мф. 12:31,32), так называемый непростительный — хула на Духа Святого. Что это означает? И в чем роль Святого Духа? «И Он, придя, обличит мир о грехе, о правде и о суде» (Ин. 16:8). О Его роли говорится и в других текстах: 1 Кор. 12:3; Ин. 3:5; 16:13 и т.д. О хуле на Духа Святого в Евангелии от Матфея упоминается в контексте исцеления Иисусом бесноватого слепого и немого, когда фарисеи отрицали действие и силу Святого Духа в этом чуде. Они, зная Писания Ветхого Завета, забыли о пророчествах, исполнение которых видели теперь воочию (Ис. 61:1; 35:5), и о том, что чудо — это результат веры, а не условие для нее. Ведь только при встрече с Иисусом начинается духовное прозрение и победа над немотой. Только силой Божьей можно противостоять сатане и сражаться с ним.
Зов любви и сегодня звучит для всех людей на земле. Иисус взывает: «Ныне, когда услышите глас Его, не ожесточите сердец ваших» (Евр. 3:7-8). Сегодня творится история и решаются судьбы множества людей, которые слышат Голос вечной любви и либо отзываются на него, либо отвергают, совершая непростительный грех, ведущий в погибель. Ежедневно совершается чудо Ионы-пророка. Услышьте голос! Отзовитесь и пребывайте «В тени крыл Его». Псалмом под таким названием и завершились духовные размышления этого дня.
Новую страницу «Историй вечной любви» 14 апреля открыл пастор Валерий Рябой в теме «Как обрести душевный покой». Музыкальная группа из г. Бучи исполнила песню «Мой надежный Друг», подготовив слушателей к восприятию духовных истин. Свою проповедь Валерий Николаевич начал с притчи о царе, не имевшем душевного покоя, и бедном дровосеке, у которого не было рубахи, но было довольство жизнью и душевный мир. Суть притчи в том, что истинная удовлетворенность — не в материальном достатке, не в славе и почестях. Так в чем же? Слово Божье говорит: «Великое приобретение быть благочестивым и довольным» (1 Тим. 6:6). Забота о душевном состоянии должна быть приоритетной для человека (Лк. 12:23).
Величайшей проблемой нашего времени является всемирная депрессия (Лк. 21:25). Потеря смысла бытия — главная причина отсутствия душевного мира и равновесия. 4 миллиона людей в год (каждые 40 секунд) совершают самоубийство. Со времени грехопадения в Эдеме грех разрушает внутренний мир человека. Можно ли восстановить его, вновь обрести утраченное? Слово Божье дает нам надежду, утверждая, что это возможно.
Иисус обещает нам: «Придите ко Мне все труждающиеся и обремененные, и Я успокою вас» (Мф. 11:28,29). Никто, кроме Христа, ни один из земных правителей не может пообещать этого. Самая большая психологическая проблема человека — осознать, что есть Некто, Кто больше его, Кто любит его безусловной любовью и ждет его. Осознав, прийти к Богу, возвратиться в Отчий дом и далее следовать за Христом. Главным стремлением такого человека становится «искать прежде всего Царства Божьего и правды Его…» (Мф. 6:33). Такова потребность души праведного человека, определяющая его внутреннее состояние (Пс. 117:15; 36:39; 91:13-15). Обращенный христианин обладает внутренним миром, который дает только Иисус Христос. «Праведный верою жив будет» (Рим. 1:17), «…правдою Одного всем человекам оправдание к жизни» (Рим. 5:18) — в этом суть Евангелия. Голгофа — величайшее выражение Божьей любви к нам, ведь смертью Христа человеку возвращен статус праведника (Рим. 4:6). Чувство вины и внутренний мир — взаимоисключающие понятия. Чувство вины снимается с человека только прощением, которое по Своей великой любви и милости к нам дарует Христос вместе с вмененной праведностью.
Ярким примером человека, сохранившего внутренний мир и покой независимо от всех жизненных обстоятельств и невзгод, является апостол Павел (2 Тим. 4:7,8). Да поможет Бог каждому из нас испытать подобный мир с Богом в своей душе. В заключение музыкальная группа подвела итог всему сказанному, исполнив песню «Он есть наш мир».
“How to Find the True Church” – was the name of a topic presented by Pastor Vladimir Borovoj on April 12 to the audience in the temple and to TV viewers of “Hope channel.” He began his sermon with the biblical text: “One Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Eph. 4:5). It follows logically that the Church of God is also one. The relationship between God and His Church in the Holy Scriptures are compared to the relationship between husband and wife. God is the Creator of all things, and is the Creator of marriage. And He can have only one wife. The purpose of Christ is to return for his wife (Rev. 19:7).
So, the Bible says that there is only one true Church of God on earth. How could it be known? At this point there are many opinions, but the most reliable criterion is the Word of God and what it says on the matter (Isaiah 8:20). In particular, the book of Revelation pays great attention to the Church of God and its characteristics. Its symbol in Scripture is the wife or virgin (2 Cor. 11:2). Therefore, in Revelation 12:1 the Church is represented by the image of wife, and the combination of sun, moon and stars tells us about God’s creative power (Gen. 1:16). As God created the sun, the moon and the stars, so He established His Church in this world (Matt. 16:18), and then He gave His own life for it. This is the highest manifestation of God’s love for His children.
“Only one church in the world satisfies all of these signs, the one and only of the many churches, which remained faithful to Him,” said the preacher in the conclusion. And this faithfulness of the Church is its response to the incomparable, surpassing all understanding God’s eternal love. This idea was voiced in singing “Holy Church” by Michael Ignatov.
On April 13 reflection of God’s love was continued with pastor Leo Vertylo in the theme “Unpardonable sin.” The prologue was made by Oksana Kozun singing “Voice of Love”, followed by a very pertinent question of the preacher: “O, man, have you heard a Voice that is calling you?’.
Then brother Vertylo emphasized that we are created by God with an internal need to receive love and to hear that we are loved. If we do not often receive this from people, God assures us, “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” (Jer. 31:3).
There is a beautiful hymn of love written in the Bible (1 Cor. 13), where it says, that love “bears all things”, that is forgives. To love means to forgive. And God, Who is love, also forgives all sin (1 Jn. 1:7,9). But there is a sin that He can not forgive (Matt. 12:31,32), the so-called unpardonable sin – blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. What does this mean? And what is the role of the Holy Spirit? “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (John 16:8). There are other texts telling of His role: 1 Cor. 12:3, John. 3:5 and John 16:13 etc. The Gospel of Matthew mentions the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit in the context of Jesus healing the blind and dumb demoniac, when the Pharisees rejected the action and power of the Holy Spirit in this miracle. Knowing the Scriptures of the Old Testament they forgot the prophecy, the fulfillment of which they seen first hand (Isaiah 61:1, 35:5), and that miracle is the result of faith, not a condition for it. After all, only after meeting with Jesus someone begins to have spiritual insight and a win over dumbness. Only the power of God can resist Satan and fight with him.
Call of Love still sounds today for all people on earth. Jesus is calling: “To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts” (Hebrews 3:7-8). Today the history of mankind is making, and the fate of many people who hear the voice of eternal love are decided. Some respond to it, but some reject it, committing the unpardonable sin that leads to destruction. Every day, a miracle of Jonah the prophet is taking place. Hear the voice! Respond to it and abide “under the shadow of His wings.” Psalm under this title ended the spiritual reflections of the day.
On April 14, a new page of “The Everlasting Love Stories” was opened by pastor Valery Borovoi in the topic “How to find inner peace.” The musical group from the city of Bucha sang “My trusty Friend,” preparing the audience for the perception of spiritual truths. Valery began his sermon with a parable about a king who had no peace of mind, and a poor woodcutter, who did not have a shirt, but had satisfaction with life and peace of mind. The essence of the parable is that true satisfaction is not in material prosperity, not in glory and honors. So where one can find it? The word of God says: “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” (1 Tim. 6:6). Caring for his mental condition should be a priority for a man (Luke 12:23).
The greatest challenge of our time is the worldwide depression (Luke 21:25). The loss of meaning of life is the main reason for the lack of mental peace and balance. 4 million people a year (every 40 seconds) commit suicide. Since the Fall in Eden sin destroys the inner world of man. Is it possible to restore it to regain the lost? The Word of God gives us hope, arguing that it is possible.
Jesus promises us: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28,29). No one but Jesus, none of the rulers of the earth can not promise that. The biggest psychological problem of man is to realize that there is One who is greater than he, One, who loves him unconditionally and waiting for him. Realizing this, man should come to God, to return to the fold and follow Christ. The main desire of such a man will be to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness …” (Matthew 6:33). This is the need of the soul of righteous man, which determines his inner state (Ps. 117:15; 36:39, 91:13-15). Every converted Christian has an inner peace that only Jesus Christ could give. “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17), “…so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life” (Rom. 5:18) is the essence of the Gospel. Calvary is the greatest expression of God’s love for us, because though the death of Christ man was given back the status of the righteous (Romans 4:6). Feeling of guilt and inner peace are mutually exclusive. One could be free of feeling of guilt only through forgiveness, which Christ grant us with His imputed righteousness through His great love and mercy.
A striking example of a man who kept the inner peace regardless to all circumstances and adversities, is the apostle Paul (2 Tim. 4:7, 8). May God help each of us to experience such a peace with God in our heart. At the end of the meeting, the musical group summed up the above, performing the song “He is our peace.”
