На базе церкви №1, что находится на ул. Пирогова, проходила евангельская кампания. Трижды в неделю: в пятницу, субботу и воскресенье все желающие узнать, что Бог желает сказать современному человеку, могли присоединиться к собравшимся. Проводил программу исполнительный секретарь Кавказской союзной миссии Виктор Капустин.
На протяжении 12 встреч одна за другой открывались страницы священного Писания, говорящие о событиях последнего времени. Вот лишь некоторые из услышанных тем: «Рецепт личного счастья», «Божий суд и величественное пророчество», «Глобальное бедствие не для всех», «Семь великих религиозных движений» и другие. Пастор Капустин представил важные факты из истории церкви, проиллюстрированные в библейских пророчествах.
Каждый раз молитвенный дом собирал более 70 человек, десять из них были посетителями церкви. Благодарение Богу за каждого нового человека, впервые прикоснувшегося к истине Божьей. Верим, что семя, посеянное в их сердца, принесет плод в свое время.
Первый урожай был собран уже при завершении евангельской программы.13 апреля в Ставрополе был двойной праздник: суббота и крещение.
Девять человек: два брата и семь сестер из обеих общин города заключили завет с Господом посредством водного крещения. Этот торжественный обряд совершали пасторы двух общин г. Ставрополя: Алексей Плахота и Александр Сахаров.
В зале, в котором проходило крещение «негде было яблоку упасть», каждому хотелось разделить радость с крещаемыми. В зале царило воодушевление. Родители обнимали своих детей, бабушки – внуков, мужья – жен, принявших Христа в сердце и от этого ставшие еще роднее.
После крещения все присутствовавшие собрались в богослужебном зале. Исполнительный секретарь КСМ Виктор Капустин, а так же пасторы и пресвитеры двух общин поздравили всех заключивших завет с Богом. Им вручили памятные подарки, цветы и свидетельства о крещении. С этого дня они стали полноправными членами Церкви христиан адвентистов седьмого дня.
An evangelistic campaign was held in the house of prayer of the first church, which is located on the Pirogov street. Three times a week, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all who want to know what God wants to say to modern man, could join the audience. The program was conducted by Viktor Kapustin, Executive Secretary of the Caucasian Union mission.
During 12 meetings he opened pages of the Scriptures that speak of the events of recent times. Here are just a few of covered themes: “The recipe for personal happiness,” “God’s judgment and the grand prophecy”, “Global disaster is not for everyone”, “Seven great religious movements” and others. Pastor Kapustin presented important facts from the history of the church, exemplified in the biblical prophecies.
Every time the house of worship was visited by more than 70 people, and ten of them were guests of the church. Thank God for each new person who touched the truth of God for the first time. We believe that the seed that was sown in their hearts will bear fruit in due time.
The first harvest was already reaped at the end of the program. April 13 in Stavropol was a double celebration: Sabbath day and baptism.
Nine people, two brothers and seven sisters of the two congregations of the city have made a covenant with the Lord by baptism. This solemn ceremony was conducted by pastors of the two Stavropol churches, Alexey Plahota and Alexander Sakharov.
The hall in which the baptism took place was so full of people that you couldn’t have dropped a pin, everyone wanted to share the joy of baptized. The spirit of excitement was everywhere. Parents were hugging their children, grandparents – their grandchildren, husbands – their wives, who accepted Christ in their heart and thus become more dearer.
After the baptism, all those present were gathered in the hall. The Executive Secretary of the CUM, Viktor Kapustin, as well as pastors and elders of the two congregations congratulated all who made a covenant with God. They presented them commemorative gifts, flowers and baptismal certificates. From that day they became full members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
