В акции против курения и алкоголя члены местной церкви, а также адвентисты их гг. Слобозея, Тирасполя и Бендеры – в общей сложности более 60 человек, организовав социальный марш по городу, призывали горожан отказаться от курения и употребления алкоголя. Жители города получили в подарок диски с информацией о негативном влиянии табака и алкоголя на организм человека.
Администрация города приветствовала проведение акции Церковью адвентистов седьмого дня, обеспечив участников сопровождающим милицейским патрулем. Кроме того, к участникам марша присоединились также и местные жители.
Часовой марш, проходивший под эгидой организации «Здоровое поколение», завершился успешно. Участникам и организаторам выразили благодарность за участие в социальной жизни города. После благодарственной молитвы Господу адвентисты Днестровска наметили проведение и других мероприятий для доброго свидетельства окружающим.
Church members from Dnestrovsk, Moldova, as well as Adventists from Tirsapol, Slobozeya and Bendery, organized a social event in Dnestrovsk to educate local residents about harmful effects of tobacco and alcohol. Sixty church members marched in the city streets, met with the residents and encouraged them to stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Adventists gave away informational DVD’s about the influence of tobacco and alcohol on a human body.
The local government supported the action. A police escort was provided to ensure order and safety. Some residents joined the Adventist march to support the important cause.
The one-hour event was sponsored by “A Healthy Generation” organization. It was a success. The participants were thanked for their participation in the social life of the city of Dnestrovsk. The social action ended with a prayer of thanks to the Lord.
Local Adventists plan to conduct other events that would benefit local residents and tell them about the Good news.
