Торжественное богослужение для школьников, студентов и преподавателей учебных заведений состоялось 31 августа, в последнюю субботу лета во всех адвентистских общинах Подолья. Пасторы и наставники детского отдела церкви, дети и родители, следуя ежегодной традиции, приготовили праздничную программу. Так, детям четвертой общины Винницы и Немирова особое приветственное послание принесли специальные «почтальоны». А в конвертах — наставления и пожелания для тех, кто снова отправляется в Страну знаний.
На примерах из Священного Писания мальчики, девочки и молодежь сравнили свою жизнь с жизнью любимых героев. И еще раз убедились в том, что все, живущие с Богом, получают невероятные победы. А каждый пренебрегающий Божьими установлениями терпит поражение. Все единодушно решили равняться на победителей!
Поучительной и для взрослых, и для детей стала история первоклассницы Мышки, которая пришла из телестудии к винницким школьникам. Как радовалась Мышка своему новенькому портфелю! А еще хвасталась друзьям Ежику и Белочке, что она — лучшая ученица, потому что является христианкой. И так гордилась собой, так прятала свой портфель от друзей, что им это совсем не понравилось. Хорошо, что все это увидел учитель Медведь — именно он помог Мышке понять проблему своего отношения к ближним.
Зрители поняли главный урок этой истории: христианин должен быть добрым, щедрым, приветливым, доброжелательным ко всем и никогда не превозноситься. Решение принято — быть такими! Об этом — и не только — молились пасторы. Потому что юных христиан отправляли не просто получать знания, а быть представителями Господа в тех учебных заведениях, которые они посещают.
Прибавили радости и подарки, которые пригодятся в процессе учебы. Решительно настроенные школьники стихами и песнями показали желание идти нелегким путем — и только с Господом. С некоторой завистью провожают старших друзей те, кому еще немного нужно подрасти, а родители, дедушки и бабушки — с радостной улыбкой. Потому что уверены: тем, кого поддерживает Господь, покорятся все вершины!
All Adventist churches in Podolye, Ukraine, held a special service for students and teachers on August 31st, the last Sabbath of summer 2013. Following the yearly tradition, local pastors, Children’s ministries leaders, parents and children prepared special programs dedicated to the beginning of a new academic year.
Vinnitsa SDA Church # 4 and Nemirov church had “mail workers” deliver envelopes with special messages to every school child and every college student in the sanctuary. The envelopes contained God’s promises and good wishes for those who were returning to the Country of Knowledge.
During the program young people were able to compare their lives to the lives of their favorite Bible heroes. They unanimously concluded that great victories came to those who followed God. People who neglected His commands failed. All students, from first graders to college and university seniors, pledged to follow the example of those who won in their spiritual and earthly battles.
A visiting special “guest” – a little first-grader Mouse from a TV studio – came to the church service to tell her story. She was so excited about her school and her new backpack! She boasted to her friends Squirrel and Hedgehog about being “the best student” in class because she was a Christian. Mouse was so proud of herself that her friends did not like it at all. Luckily, their teacher Mr. Bear noticed the problem and helped little Mouse to see her wrong attitude toward her forest buddies.
Adventist students got the message: a Christian should be kind, generous, polite and nice to everyone, and should never have a prideful attitude. A special prayer of dedication and blessings was prayed by the local pastors. Their young folks were sent off to be the ambassadors for Christ at their educational institutions, as well as to get solid knowledge.
Useful gifts added to the joy of the students. In their turn, they expressed their determination to learn and be the followers of Jesus. Parents and grandparents rejoiced with the young ones because they knew that with Christ all things are possible! The preschoolers looked at their older friends and siblings with admiration and just a little tiny bit of jealousy since they still had a year or two before they could be part of the special ceremony.
