В Духовном центре на Нагатинской прошла евангельская программа под названием «Чем люди живы?», на которой была показана практическая ценность библейских истин.
В соответствие с концепцией проекта «Миссия в больших городах» она представляла собой целый комплекс мероприятий, проведение которых требовало слаженной работы самых разных отделов: Адвентистская миссия, отдел личного служения, здоровья, социального, музыкального, информационного и других. Члены церкви были вовлечены в раздачу пригласительных на улицах Москвы. Принятый в России в дни проведения программы запрет на курение в общественных местах давал дополнительный повод приглашать желающих на программу «Дышите свободно». Параллельно в другом зале проводился курс лечебной гимнастики, демонстрировавший, что значит активно вести здоровый образ жизни. Десятки людей были привлечены программой здорового питания, изюминкой которой стали энтузиазм ведущих и дегустация вегетарианских блюд.
Самую важную часть программы проводил секретарь Евро-Азиатского дивизиона Владимир Крупский. Внимание слушателей было привлечено к тому, что ценность нашей жизни определяется не материальной составляющей, но богатством души и близостью к Богу. Для того, чтобы жить полноценно, нам нужно научиться прощать, отдавать, надеяться, творить добро и даже умереть для того, что препятствует жизни. Все эти темы были представлены развернуто и убедительно. Для того, чтобы сделать посещение встреч максимально доступным для гостей, библейские темы проводились дважды в день: в 15 и 19 часов. А учитывая технологическую оснащенность жителей мегаполиса, каждый вечер программа транслировалась через интернет, что вдвое увеличивало ее аудиторию.
Кульминацией программы стал праздник крещения. 16 человек выразили готовность начать новую жизнь во Христе. «Чем люди живы?» – конечно же, любовью к Богу – такой ответ мог бы дать любой из тех, кто в этот день заключил завет с Господом. «Кажется только людям, что они заботой о себе живы», – эти слова Льва Николаевича Толстого стали лейтмотивом программы, – «а живы они одною любовью». Программа завершилась, но жизнь как путь познания любви Божьей продолжается.

In the Spiritual Center at Nagatinskaya street was held a evangelistic campaign called “What men live by?” At the program was shown the practical value of the Biblical truths.
In accordance with the concept of the “Mission to the big cities” project, the program had a whole range of activities, it required teamwork of many different departments: Adventist Mission, Personal Ministries department, Health Ministries, Social Ministries, Music Ministries, Communication department and others. The church members were involved in the distribution of invitations in the streets of Moscow. While the program was going, a ban on smoking in public places was adopted in Russia and it has given an additional reason to invite interested people to the Stop Smoking program. In the other hall was conducted a course of physiotherapy that demonstrated what it means to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Dozens of people were attracted by a healthy eating program, the highlight of which were the enthusiasm of its presenters and tasting of vegetarian dishes.
The most important part of the program was conducted by the executive secretary of Euro-Asia Division Vladimir Krupskyi. Attention of his listeners was attracted to the fact that value of our life is defined not by the material things, but by the richness of soul and close relations with God. To live fully we need to learn to forgive, to give, to hope to do good, and even to die for what hinders life. All these topics were presented comprehensively and convincingly. To make attendance of the meetings as accessible as possible for our guests, biblical meetings were held twice a day at 3 and 7 pm. And given the technological equipment of those living in a metropolis, the program was broadcasted over the Internet every evening, which has twice increased its audience.
The culmination of the program was the celebration of baptism. 16 people expressed their willingness to start a new life in Christ. “What men live by?” – Of course, they live by the love of God – such a response could give anyone of those who made a covenant with the Lord on that day. “It only seems to people that they live by care about themselves” – these words of Leo Tolstoy became the leitmotif of the program – “they live by love only.” The program finished, but our life as a way of knowing God’s love continues.
