В субботу 30 ноября состоялось торжественное богослужение по случаю 90-й годовщины со дня основания общины адвентистов седьмого дня в пгт Кобылецкая Поляна, что на Закарпатье. Впервые полянская церковь принимала такое количество гостей, а съехалось на торжество около трехсот человек.
Места хватило всем благодаря тому, что богослужение впервые провели в стенах нового молитвенного дома, хотя работы в нем еще находятся на стадии завершения.
На юбилей приехали пасторы — выходцы из этой общины, которые сегодня совершают служение за пределами нашей страны. Это Василий Варцаба (Англия) и Михаил Луцьо (Азербайджан). Откликнулся на приглашение также Василий Писанок, один из спонсоров строительства нового молитвенного дома, который приехал из Англии. Родную общину посетили и служители из Украины — Иван Варцаба и Юрий Ватаман. Почетными гостями на празднике были пасторы, совершавшие служение в Кобылецкой Поляне — Василий Билак, Михаил Горничар, Иван Ношин, Иван Кричфалуший. Приехала жена Игоря Онофрийчука — Одарка, а также жена покойного пастора Степана Онофрийчука — Мария Дмитриевна. Были пасторы из соседних общин — Александр Грицак (с. Верхнее Водяное), Олег Шнайдер (г. Рахов). Радость юбилея разделили с верующими и гости из соседнего государства Румынии во главе с районным пастором Теодором Бринзяником.
На празднике также присутствовали президент Западной конференции Церкви АСД Александр Антонюк и областной пастор Василий Чепик. Богослужение украшали выступления духового оркестра и ансамбля бандуристов под руководством Марии Онуфрийчук из с. Ильницы, музыкальных коллективов из Черновцов и поселка Тересва, а также пение молодежи и хора местной общины.
Торжественную часть открыл местный пастор Василий Мурга. Он рассказал историю общины в форме стихотворения. В нем говорилось о непростом пути церкви с 1923 года — от первого адвентиста в поселке Дмитрия Ватамана и до наших дней.
На сцену пригласили ветеранов, которые исполнили песню «Бурями носимая». После слов благодарности пастора Юрия Ватамана им вручили подарки и цветы.
Все присутствующие пасторы и представители разных общин поздравили членов полянской общины с юбилеем. С напутственным словом выступил Александр Антонюк, который призвал членов общины к перепосвящению и активному евангельскому служению.
Кульминацией встречи стала передача Библии от старшего поколения младшему. Именно Библия первого адвентиста поселка — Дмитрия Ватамана и книги Духа Пророчества, собственноручно им подписанные, находились в центре сцены как символ духовного наследия, которое передается следующему поколению. А в конце богослужения пастор Василий Чепик поблагодарил всех за участие в торжественном богослужении и совершил совместную молитву.
Праздник прошел в теплой и дружественной атмосфере. Гости ощутили искренность и гостеприимство юбиляров, отведали различных блюд, приготовленных хозяевами, а домой возвращались переполненные впечатлениями и благодарностью Богу за полученные благословения.
On Sabbath, November 30 took place a solemn worship dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Adventist congregation in Kobyletskaya Polyana village in Transcarpathia. For the first time this church received so many guests, there were about 300 of those attending celebration.
But there was enough room for every one since for the first time the worship took place in a new chapel even though some work still needs to be accomplished in this building.
Pastors who grew up in this church came for this celebration. Today they serve outside our country. They are Vasiliy Vartsaba (England) and Michael Lutsyo (Azebaijan). Vasiliy Pisanok also answered an invitation to come from England, he is one of the sponsors who helped with the new chapel construction. Pastors Ivan Vartsaba and Yuriy Vataman from Ukraine also visited their home church. The guests of honor at this celebration were pastors who used to serve in this church: Vasiliy Bilak, Michael Gornichar, Ivan Noshin, Ivan Krichfalushiy. Odarka, a wife of Igor Onofriychuk and Mariya Onofriychuk, a wife of late Stepan Onofriychuk came too. Pastors from nearby churches Alexander Gritsak (Verkhneye Vodyanoye) and Oleg Schneider (town of Rakhov) visited the celebration. Guests from Romania headed by a district pastor Theodor Brinzyanik shared our celebration.
Western Conferenсe president Alexander Antoniuk and regional pastor Vasiliy Chepik also attended the event. Worship was beautified with wind band performances and pandora ensemble under the direction of Mariya Onufriychuk from Ilnytsya village, musical groups from Chernovtsy and Teresva settlement , as well as singing of youth and a choir of the local congregation.
Local pastor Vasily Murga opened the solemn part of worship. He told the story of a community in the form of a poem. It described the difficult path of the church since 1923 – from the first Adventist in the village, his name was Dmitry Vataman, to the present day.
Those who have been church members for a long time, let’s call them “church veterans”, were invited to come to the stage. The veterans sand a famous hymn “Worn by storms”, then pastor Yuriy Vatman congratulated and thanked them and the veterans received flowers and presents.
All pastors and guests from different congregations congratulated members of Kobyletskaya Polyana Adventist church with their anniversary. Alexander Antoniuk called church members to rededicate themselve to the Lord and to be active evangelists.
The culmination of the meeting was a handover of the Bible from the older generation to the younger one. This Bible and Spirit of Prophecy books belonged to the first Adventist in the village – Dmitry Vataman, the books had his signature, they were put in the center of stage as a symbol of the spiritual heritage that is passed to the next generation. And in the end of the service Pastor Vasily Chepik thanked everyone for their participation in the solemn worship and prayed together with the audience.
Festival was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Guests felt the sincerity and hospitality of this church, they tasted different dishes prepared by hosts and returned home full of impressions and gratitude to God for blessings received.
