В Церкви адвентистов седьмого дня г. Щекина состоялось общее торжественное богослужение двух общин г. Щекино и п. Первомайский, посвященное празднованию 150-летия Церкви АСД и Дня Духовного наследия Церкви. Были приглашены гости из других общин и конфессий. На приглашение откликнулись представители от Церкви ЕХБ. Началось торжество с пения хора церкви г. Щекино, который исполнил гимны: «От греха я спасен» и «Иисус – спасенье наше».
Участники богослужения познакомились с историей Адвентистской церкви, начиная от реформаторов, которые как «утренняя звезда» рассеивали мрак неверия в душах людей, живших в те далекие времена. Постановку о реформаторах завершил Миллер, которого представлял президент Приокского объединения Александр Гладков. Пастор местной церкви Кравчук В.А. рассказал о том, как происходило зарождение Всемирной Церкви АСД, а пресвитер Подлинных Ю. Г. рассказал о Церкви АСД в России в разные годы.
Собравшиеся узнали, что история Церкви представляет большой интерес: это и богатейшее наследие трудов Э. Уайт, и песенное наследие, гимны, которые пели еще первые адвентисты, и сборник «Псалмы Сиона», который переиздавался много раз и проходил разную цензуру, но псалмы из этого сборника люди переписывали, передавая из рук в руки, и пели.
Пение – неотъемлемая часть Адвентистской жизни. Об этом говорилось в презентации о «Псалмах Сиона». Всем собранием неоднократно были исполнены некоторые из них. Пели все вместе, вспоминая прошлые годы. Очень красиво пел женский хор из п. Первомайский гимн «Кто хочет из вас быть блаженным всегда».
Не обошли вниманием, конечно же, и сборник «Родник хвалы и вдохновенья», исполнив некоторые песни на торжестве. Пастор Гладков А. А. сказал вдохновенную проповедь на тему «Помни весь путь, которым вел тебя Господь». Он призвал собравшихся помнить свои корни, не забывать, что Бог шел рядом с христианами всех веков, и сегодня Он рядом с нами и обещает быть с нами до конца.
Общее пение было как бы кульминацией всего того, о чем говорилось на этом торжестве. Это был гимн «Как невеста в роскошном убранстве своем, жениха ожидает и ночью и днем. Так и Церковь Христа, бодрствует и все ждет, скоро ль с неба Жених придет…”
Да благословит Господь всех ожидающих скорой встречи со Христом в Его Второе пришествие.

In the Seventh-day Adventist congregation in Schekino took place a solemn worship of two congregations from Schekino and Pervomayskiy dedicated to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Spiritual Heritage of the Church. Guests from other denominations and congregations were invited to attend the celebration. Representatives from Baptist Church responded to the invitation. The celebration began with the singing of Schekino church choir, they sang two hymns: “I am saved from sin” and “Jesus is our salvation”.
Participants learned about the history of the Adventist Church, about the reformers who as “morning stars” illuminated the darkness of unbelief in the hearts of the people who lived in those times. Staging of reformers was concluded with William Miller, represented by the president of Priokskaya Conference Alexander Gladkov. Pastor of the local church Kravchuk V. A. spoke about how the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist church was born and the elder Podlinnykh Y. G. told about the history of the SDA church in Russia.
The participants learned that the history of the Church is very interesting, these are a rich heritage of E. G. White works, song heritage, hymns, sung by early Adventists, and a collection of “Psalms of Zion”, which was reprinted many times and took different censorship, but people copied these psalms from this collection, passing them from hand to hand.
Singing is an integral part of the Adventist life. This was discussed during the presentation of the “Psalms of Zion”. All the congregation repeatedly sang some of them. They sang together, remembering the past. Female choir from Pervomayskiy beautifully performed “Who wants to be blessed” hymn.
A song book “Spring of praise and inspiration” was not left out. Pastor Alexander Gladkov said an inspiring sermon on “Remember all the way which the Lord has led you”. He urged the audience to remember their roots, not to forget that God was walking with Christians of all ages, and today he is near us and promises to be with us until the end.
General singing was like the culmination of all of what was said at this celebration. It was the hymn “As a bride in a wedding gear is waiting for a groom day and night, the Church of Christ is awake and waiting for the Bridegroom”.
May God bless all waiting for a soon meeting with Christ at His Second Coming.
