В городе Дубно состоялся Миссионерский конгресс адвентистов седьмого дня, цель которого — укрепить веру его участников в Иисуса Христа. Служители церкви поделились с аудиторией своими мыслями о евангельском служении обществу. Также адвентисты вышли на улицы города и раздали жителям духовную литературу.
Один из спикеров конгресса, Сергей Чинко, отметил важность мотивации, благодаря которой работа для Господа будет выполняться без принуждения. Александр Московчук, пастор первой Ровенской общины, подчеркнул, что «людей больше интересует не то, чему учит Церковь, а то, что она делает для общества».
Валентин Шевчук, секретарь Западной конференции, обратился к присутствующим с проповедью, в которой призвал никогда не разочаровываться в Боге, Который есть любовь, не сомневаться в Библии, которая является Словом Божьим, и в блаженной надежде всех христиан — Втором пришествии Христа.
Величественная литания посвящения прозвучала в завершение первой части конгресса: «Мы посвящаем себя для повседневной жизни с Иисусом, для Иисуса, силой Иисуса». Мероприятие украсили выступления церковного хора, детей, игра скрипачей.
После обеда волонтеры отправились в дома жителей г. Дубно с пакетами, в которых находились книги «Великая борьба», «Торжественная поступь Бога», «Путь ко Христу», «За гранью познания», а также газеты «Вічний скарб», «Світло твого життя» и рекламные флаеры от телеканала «Надія». Волонтеры раздали более 130 упомянутых выше книг и около 1600 газет.
На вечернем служении все желающие делились опытами, рассказывая о радости встречи с людьми, своих впечатлениях, мыслях и волнениях.

Adventist church in the city of Dubno, Ukraine hosted a Mission Congress for Adventist lay missionaries. The purpose of the congress was to strengthen the participants’ faith in Jesus Christ. Adventist pastors shared their thoughts and experience regarding the Gospel ministry and service to the community. Adventists also went into the city to distribute books and other printed materials.
One of the speakers, Sergei Chinko, emphasized the importance of motivation that helps members work for the Lord willingly. Alexander Moskovchuk, pastor of the First Church in Rivne, said that people are more interested in what the Church does for their community rather than what it teaches.
Valentin Shevchuk, Western Ukrainian Conference Secretary, addressed the participants with a sermon. He said that they should never get discouraged and get disappointed in God Who is love. Adventists should never doubt the Bible which is the Word of God, or the blessed hope of all Christians – the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
A special litany of dedication concluded the first part of the congress: “We dedicate ourselves to life with Jesus, for Jesus, by the power of Jesus.” Music items performed by local church choir and children, and a violin ensemble made the service even more wonderful.
In the afternoon volunteers went from door to door with books (“The Great Controversy,” “Steps to Christ,” “Beyond Imagination” and “the Solemn Walk of God”) and “Eternal Treasure” and “The Light of Your Life” newspapers. They also handed out Nadiya TV Channel promotional flyers. Volunteers distributed 130 books and 1600 newspapers.
Evening vespers was dedicated to testimonies. Lay missionaries shared their impressions, concerns and joy from meeting new people.
