С утра внимание жителей деревни привлекла громкая музыка, доносящаяся из клуба. Люди сначала не поверили, услышав, что одежду будут не продавать, а раздавать бесплатно, но, зайдя в клуб, были приятно удивлены: здесь царила радостная и дружественная атмосфера, все улыбались, смеялись, было много детей. В праздничной обстановке четверо волонтеров раскладывали вещи на столах. Одежду разобрали быстро, минут за 40. Заодно разобрали и газеты «Сокрытое сокровище» и «Ключи к здоровью», обещая читать их.
Служители отдела Тавифы Рязанской общины адвентистов в начале 2014 года спланировали свою работу и молились о том, чтобы планы удалось осуществить. Одно из направлений служения – раздача одежды нуждающимся. Руководитель отдела Раиса Сигалкина организовала сбор вещей, члены общины с энтузиазмом поддержали начинание. Сестра Марина Селиванова договорилась с администрацией Фёдоровки о дне и месте проведения благотворительной акции. Результатом все остались довольны – и местные жители, и миссионеры, которые решили, что надо проводить такие мероприятия регулярно. Адвентисты благодарны за возможность не только восполнить материальные нужды людей, но и открыть им любящий характер нашего Господа!

Fedorovka residents had been hearing loud music coming from the local cultural center since morning od March 9th. When they first heard about clothes giveaway they did not believe that it was for free. However, when they entered the club (the cultural center) they saw four friendly volunteers sorting out clothes as well as visitors who came with their children. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Within 40 minutes all clothes were gone as well as “Hidden Treasure” and “Keys to Health” newspapers. Local residents promised to read the literature they received at the club.
Ryazan Adventist Church Dorcas department made their ministry plans at the beginning of the year. They prayed that all their efforts would be blessed by the Lord. One of the focus area of the department is providing clothes for the needy. Dorcas department director Raisa Sigalkina organized a collection of clothes. Ryazan church members supported her efforts. Marina Selivanova made an arrangement with Fedorovka village administration about the time and place of the charity event. Both the missionaries and the local residents were pleased by the results. Fedorovka event showed that clothes giveaways could become regular in the needy areas. Adventists were thankful that they could not only meet physical needs of local people, but to represent the loving Savior to them as well.
